Some esap thoughts

Had a fulfilling lesson of Esap today. Today's lecture was on Self, the awareness of oneself.. blablabla. And the me and I. Stuff like that. I dont wish to go through what the lecturer has taught. As if we havent had enough lecturing going on around here.

Sheessh just some thoughts.

Multiple self - An individual has multiple selves. In a nutshell, a person adjusts to the circumstances around him/her and plays different roles throughout his/her life. So that set me thinking for a moment. I'm I one complex individual with lotsa selves or am I of a simpler person?

I might not know myself as I thought I did. But I think I am gradually coming to grasp with my own unique personality, to potray an individual with more consistant social characteristics. I do not wish to be to erratic in my behaviour, but at the same time I wish that my feelings could be made known. I think that everyone has emotions and these emotions when strong enough might influence the self that we potray to society, is it not? Hence controlling ones emotion in a positive way would be beneficial to oneself and to people around you. I think it is a matter of channelling your emotions to the right source.

how about classifying subjects?

Do you see a negro or a fellow human being?
I see the later.

Do you see a crippled or a fellow human being?
I see the later.

So you are a perfect human species then?

Do you see Bimbo or a fellow human being?
I see the first. Because thats wat comes out of my mouth upon seeing her. And I think 'bimbo' can be classified as a subject? yes?

Do you see a chiobu or a fellow human being?
I see the first! Cause thats wat we guys say everytime upon seeing one. Can 'chiobu' be classified as a subject? I dunno. hahahha. But some girls feel like they are being labelled as pieces of meat that a butcher has hung up on display.

Superiority
How does one proves his/her superiority to others?

"hey, you really should be like me to succeed in life."
I might admire you, but sorry I am my own self.

Hanging out with lotsa pretty girl-friends and being the ultimate prince charming.
I'm sorry, we belong to different school of thoughts.

"I have Ferrari."
I have only bicycle. Nvm, I'll scratch your car to make myself feel better.

I believe that we live in a world of positive sum game, only in the world of material goods.
