Movie - The Sea Inside

A veeery thought provoking show. Ramon Sampedro has been paralysed for 28 odd years from a diving incident when he was young. Being entirely dependent on others even in simple tasks such as shifting oneself while sleeping or shaving or reaching for the cup of water in front of him, he only had one wish, to die and to bring his life to a dignified end.

As the story progresses, he met 2 women, whom he develops special relationships with. One of them is Julia, a lawyer who was suppose to help him achieve his motive and Rosa, a woman who tried to change his mind upon death. Their relationship interwines many folds with strong emotions being played..

Moments of the show were indeed very heartwreaching and certainly struck a chord or 2 in me.

The starting was actually quite slow, but the story unfolds itself in disc 2.

A quote from Rosa : "Love is an impulse. You cant rationalize it."

A very good film..
